A ringside security assignment at an Illinois arena has led to a major civil lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment and performer Montez Ford. The legal complaint was initiated by an officer with the Cook County Sheriff's Office, identified in court records as Lucas, who was working a secondary security detail during a live broadcast of Monday Night Raw at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. The action asserts multiple claims following an unscripted ringside interaction during a televised entrance.

According to reporting published by Baller Alert, the encounter took place as Ford and his Street Profits tag team partner, Angelo Dawkins, made their way down the ramp. Lucas maintains that he was assigned to remain seated near the ring to carry out security duties. Instead of passing by, Ford allegedly deviated toward the security post, initiating an encounter that Lucas states was completely unauthorized and unexpected. Court documents cited by the Chicago Sun-Times allege that Ford approached Lucas without any prior notice, straddled him, and began repeatedly thrusting and gyrating his hips in a sexually suggestive manner.

The legal filing further claims that the physical proximity resulted in unwanted bodily contact, with POST Wrestling reporting that Ford's left inner thigh allegedly made repetitive contact with Lucas's leg while Lucas remained seated in his post. The lawsuit underscores that Lucas never consented to participate in the wrestling program or serve as a prop in the performers' routine. His legal counsel, Whitney Barr, told FOX 32 Chicago that her client attended the venue specifically to perform his professional security duties rather than to be incorporated into WWE's entertainment product.

The complaint notes that broadcast commentators added to the distress by mocking Lucas on the air, comparing him to the fictional character Paul Blart and remarking that he appeared to dislike fun. Beyond the arena floor, the complaint alleges significant personal and professional fallout. As reported by Baller Alert, Lucas claims that colleagues at his primary law enforcement job mocked him the following morning by imitating Ford's actions. Additionally, the filing states that his children endured teasing at school once video of the televised moment circulated widely across digital media.

The formal filing spans 14 legal counts, incorporating claims of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violations of the Illinois Gender Violence Act. Lucas also alleges violations of the Illinois Right of Publicity Act, arguing that WWE commercially exploited his likeness without authorization. According to reporting from POST Wrestling, WWE later removed the specific interaction from the Netflix broadcast of the episode, though footage remained accessible on other platforms.

WWE has not publicly answered the lawsuit, and no court has ruled on the merits of the allegations. Lucas is seeking compensatory damages, punitive damages, and legal costs, with a case management hearing set for December 10, 2026.
