Vin Rock Confirms He and DJ Kay Gee Are Ready for Naughty By Nature Reunion
Vin Rock took to social media to announce that he and DJ Kay Gee are prepared to reunite as Naughty By Nature whenever Treach is ready. The statement follows recent podcast remarks from Treach regarding the group's songwriting dynamics and performance history.

Vin Rock has publicly addressed the status of Naughty By Nature, stating that both he and DJ Kay Gee stand prepared to reunite the iconic New Jersey hip-hop trio on stage alongside Treach, according to reporting by AllHipHop.
In an October 17 message shared across social media and co-posted with the official Naughty By Nature account, Vin Rock expressed his regret to supporters who remain eager to see the trio together again while defending his enduring contributions to their shared legacy. Directing his message to long-time listeners, he wrote that he and Kay Gee are ready to rock as a three-man threat on any given day.
His public comments directly confronted persistent critiques regarding his specific role within the group's recording catalog. When a commenter online questioned whether Treach had written his lyrics, Vin Rock answered in a verified exchange reported by AllHipHop that Treach wrote some, but not all, stressing that lyric authorship missed the broader point of how the collective functioned.
Defending their long collaborative history, Vin Rock characterized Naughty By Nature as an intricate machine driven by numerous moving components. He pointed out that an extensive amount of labor happens far behind the scenes before any finished performance reaches an audience. In the same statement, he claimed that Treach had attempted to establish a solo career for 25 years.
The message paid tribute to their shared foundation tracing back to East Orange, New Jersey, and their beginnings under the moniker New Style. In graphics accompanying his post, Vin Rock also asserted that outside parties had offered him financial incentives to issue a public rebuttal, though he did not name any individuals or disclose financial figures.
The public exchange follows an October 16 appearance by Treach on the program Drink Champs. According to the show's official transcript reviewed by AllHipHop, Treach described recent performances by his bandmates as DJ sets rather than complete group shows. Treach also stated that he had authored the majority of the group's rhymes despite publishing royalties being split evenly in thirds among all three members.
Treach had previously signaled reluctance regarding a prospective reunion. AllHipHop noted that Treach dismissed the prospect of getting back together during an August appearance on The Real Report, leaving Vin Rock's latest invitation unanswered in terms of any confirmed agreement.
The members of Naughty By Nature have weathered internal disputes in earlier chapters of their career. Ahead of their 25th-anniversary tour, Vin Rock detailed in a 2016 Miami New Times interview how the original trio successfully resolved differences to give their audience full live performances. Together, the group built an enduring catalog featuring classic anthems such as "O.P.P.," "Hip Hop Hooray," and "Feel Me Flow," earning the 1996 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album for their project Poverty's Paradise, as documented by the Recording Academy. Despite Vin Rock's expressed willingness to share the stage, no official joint reunion dates have been announced.
