Venus Williams Launches Home Design Collection With Crate & Barrel
Venus Williams unveiled a nearly 200-piece furniture and decor collaboration with Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids. The collection launched September 15 and draws on tennis-inspired geometry and Italian design influences.
Venus Williams has partnered with Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids on an expansive collection of nearly 200 furniture, decor and textile pieces, Black Enterprise reported. The collaboration, which launched September 15, extends the seven-time Grand Slam champion's business portfolio into interior design through her firm V Starr, founded in 2002.
I'm so proud of this collection, Williams said in the announcement, adding that each piece was intentionally designed to feel artful, timeless and design-driven while still working cohesively together. The line draws on tennis geometry and movement alongside Italian design influences, including a chandelier inspired by a tennis ball's suspended motion during a serve toss.
The Crate & Kids assortment incorporates Williams' favorite color, lavender, paired with neon tennis-ball green across playful furniture pieces, according to Black Enterprise.
