TDE University Tour Brings Live Music and Mentorship to HBCU Campuses
Top Dawg Entertainment, with Toyota and BET, launched the TDE University Tour across nine HBCUs including Grambling, Jackson State and Howard. The tour combines Yardfest performances with mobile recording studios and mentorship for student talent.
Pollstar reported the tour blends festival-style campus takeovers with civic engagement and career activations powered by The Orchard. TDE founder Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith said the initiative is about giving back and pushing the culture forward, offering students scholarships and growth opportunities.
Stops included Alabama State, Southern University, the AUC consortium schools, Morgan State, Tennessee State and North Carolina A&T. The tour paired TDE roster artists with local student talent showcases at each stop.
