Spencer Pratt Sparks Debate After Calling Elon Musk The Most Successful African American In Video Defending Donald Trump
Reality television personality Spencer Pratt generated widespread attention after posting an online video praising former President Donald Trump and tech executive Elon Musk. Pratt referred to the South African native as the most successful African American of all time while delivering sharp criticism toward U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar.

Reality television figure Spencer Pratt has ignited public discussion across social media following remarks regarding former President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk, according to a report by Hollywood Unlocked. In a video published to his X account on Friday, October 16, Pratt praised both public figures while delivering targeted criticism at U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
Pratt titled his video upload "Pick your fighter, America: Elon or Ilhan," according to Hollywood Unlocked. Throughout the twelve-minute presentation, the media personality criticized Omar and others whom he described as dismissing the achievements of prominent business figures. Omar, who serves as the first Somali American elected to the United States Congress and the first woman of color to represent Minnesota, was directly challenged by Pratt over her view of the nation and its economic contributors.
In his recorded comments, Pratt argued that national progress has been driven by builders, saying, "Well if the man who discovered the new world is a loser and the man who’s building flying cars and spaceships to the final frontier is an idiot…what the hell are they? This nation was built by great men. Sorry, losers." Pratt questioned what critics had established in comparison to major entrepreneurs, as reported by Hollywood Unlocked.
Pratt subsequently focused his remarks on Donald Trump, emphasizing his commercial background, tenure in entertainment, and political trajectory. Defending the former president's record, Pratt stated that Trump established universal name recognition and built commercial real estate ventures before launching a top-rated primetime network television program. Drawing on his own background in reality television, Pratt argued that achieving that level of entertainment success was rare, adding that Trump went on to secure the presidency on his initial campaign run.
Turning his attention to Musk, Pratt referred to the South African-born entrepreneur as "the most successful African American of all time," pointing to his corporate portfolio. In the video cited by Hollywood Unlocked, Pratt credited Musk with establishing ventures spanning online commerce, electric vehicles, aerospace, robotics, and automated transit, stating that his companies employ over 160,000 workers.
Pratt asserted that those corporate activities support families, fund municipal services, and demonstrate the reach of capitalism, contrasting business production with government support programs. Pratt concluded his address by asserting that society depends on builders and producers, stating that strong leadership often comes with contentious personalities.
Kulture Newz has not independently confirmed whether Representative Omar has issued any formal response to Pratt's public remarks.
