Television viewers have gained expanded digital access to one of the most prominent science-fiction productions of the past decade. According to an industry report published by Deadline, production company Boat Rocker Studios has finalized new domestic licensing agreements that place its acclaimed drama series Orphan Black on both HBO Max and Peacock under a co-exclusive framework.

Under the newly executed agreements, all five seasons of the program are now available for streaming on both subscription services, Deadline reported. The series originally made its television debut in 2013 and went on to build a fervent international audience over its multi-season broadcast lifespan.

Orphan Black features Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany in the lead role of Sarah Manning, an outsider whose life takes a drastic turn when she witnesses the unexpected suicide of an unknown woman who shares her identical physical appearance. Upon stepping into the deceased woman's identity, Sarah discovers that she is part of a covert cloning program. Alongside several other clone sisters she meets along the way, she unravels the secret origins of their creation and struggles to survive against shadowy forces.

The production was brought to the screen by Boat Rocker Studios in partnership with BBC America and Canada's CTV Sci-Fi Channel. Executive production was overseen by Boat Rocker Studios co-founders Ivan Schneeberg and David Fortier, alongside the drama's co-creators Graeme Manson and John Fawcett, according to details shared by Deadline.

Throughout its television broadcast run and beyond, the drama garnered widespread critical recognition for its storytelling and Maslany's multifaceted performance across several distinct clone characters. Among its accolades, the production earned a 2014 Peabody Award for Drama, and critics frequently list the series among the top television science-fiction titles of the twenty-first century.

Distribution for the property remains a shared operational responsibility. According to Deadline, Boat Rocker Studios and BBC Studios manage joint distribution of the series within the United States, while BBC Studios oversees sales and distribution in international markets. Boat Rocker Studios continues to hold management oversight over the broader global franchise.

The dual-platform launch on HBO Max and Peacock represents a deliberate distribution strategy that widens accessibility for viewers who maintain subscriptions to either platform, giving broader audiences the opportunity to discover or revisit the complete clone saga.
