Nia Long was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Motion Pictures category on Wednesday, September 16, according to Black America Web. The ceremony, held at 6150 Hollywood Boulevard, featured guest speakers Snoop Dogg and Graham King, producer of the Michael Jackson biopic Michael, in which Long plays Katherine Jackson.
Long's career spans more than three decades, beginning with her role as Brandi in John Singleton's 1991 film Boyz n the Hood. She went on to star in Friday, Love Jones and other films that became touchstones of modern Black cinema.
The honor marks the 2,857th star on the Walk of Fame and was celebrated by family, friends and colleagues from throughout Long's career, per the report.
