Two N.C. A&T Students Named 2026 Astronaut Scholars
North Carolina A&T State University undergraduates Victoria Little and Avery C. Love were named 2026 Astronaut Scholars, an elite national STEM honor. Each will receive up to $15,000 in academic support and mentorship from astronauts and scientists.

Little, a dual-degree senior studying biology and psychology, researches neuromodulatory signaling under mentor Antoinette Maldonado-Devincci, according to N.C. A&T. Love, a chemistry major, focuses on brain metabolism and Alzheimer's disease research.
The pair are among 79 scholars nationwide chosen from 54 universities by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. Both are also Honors College and Cheatham-White Scholars at the university.
