Edge completed 31 of 40 passes for 444 yards and three touchdowns through the air, while adding two rushing scores. His 444 passing yards rank among the top single-game performances in Morgan State football history. The Bears generated 521 total offensive yards, averaging 8.4 yards per play and 14.3 yards per completion.
Morgan State established an early lead when Edge connected with Justin Perry on a 79-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. He later found Malachi Bryant for a 19-yard touchdown prior to halftime, giving the Bears a 24-14 advantage entering the locker room. However, Villanova mounted a second-half rally behind Isaiah Ragland, who scored three rushing touchdowns, and Ja'briel Mace, who added two rushing touchdowns on the day.
