Mohammed Kudus and defender Alexander Djiku are back in Ghana's Black Stars squad as new coach Carlos Queiroz begins the team's post-World Cup rebuild, according to Graphic Online. Kudus missed seven months with injury, which cost him a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Djiku also returns after a hamstring injury sidelined him for the same tournament, restoring one of Ghana's most experienced centre-backs. Ghana opens 2027 AFCON qualifying against Côte d'Ivoire on Sept. 24 before hosting The Gambia five days later.
Queiroz, who succeeded Pape Thiaw, called the three-match window "the first competitive phase" of his new mandate.
