Nigerian broadcaster and media entrepreneur Kikelomo Atanda-Owo marked two decades in broadcasting alongside the seventh anniversary of her flagship television program, Real Talk With Kike, during an anniversary event held in Lagos, according to a report by BellaNaija.

The celebration took place at Eko Hotels & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, convening leaders across government, corporate business, entertainment, and diplomacy. Organized under the theme "The Future of Nigeria: Where Leadership, Innovation, Culture & Media Converge to Shape Nation Building," the gathering explored the essential role of ethical journalism, innovation, and leadership in advancing the country's collective progress.

A central highlight of the event was the official introduction of "The Reuben and Kike Abati Podcast," a new digital media project developed jointly by Atanda-Owo and her husband, veteran journalist, political analyst, and former presidential spokesperson Dr. Reuben Abati. According to BellaNaija, the collaborative digital venture represents an expansion of their public commentary and broadcast work into modern streaming formats.

The event also included a keynote address delivered by Barrister Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, the Secretary to the Lagos State Government, who attended on behalf of Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat. Salu-Hundeyin's presentation centered on the conference's core focus regarding governance, innovation, and culture, urging media practitioners to maintain standards that inspire productive public dialogue and national development.

According to BellaNaija, several prominent government officials and private sector executives attended the milestone event. Among the guests were Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM); Hannatu Musa Musawa, Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy; Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace; Kola Adesina, Group Managing Director of Sahara Power Group; and Tosin Akerele.

Beyond commemorating individual career achievements, the conference served as a forum for dialogue regarding the future of the Nigerian media landscape. Attendees discussed the ongoing shift toward digital platforms, audience engagement strategies, and the vital role of storytelling in addressing social and developmental challenges.

Over its seven-year run, Real Talk With Kike has served as a platform examining relationships, personal development, lifestyle, and societal concerns. With twenty years in broadcast media completed and the launch of the joint podcast platform, Atanda-Owo continues to build her footprint across traditional television and emerging digital communication channels.
