Kendrick Lamar Joins Jhené Aiko on New Song “So Good”
Kendrick Lamar appears on Jhené Aiko’s “So Good,” from her new album Westside Whimsy.

As reported by Jazz Monroe of Pitchfork, recording artist Kendrick Lamar appears on the song “So Good,” a track included on Jhené Aiko’s 2026 studio album “Westside Whimsy.”
The album was released on Sept. 11, 2026, through Def Jam and ArtClub. It marks Aiko’s first full-length album in six years, following the release of “Chilombo” in 2020.
“Westside Whimsy” contains 20 tracks. Along with Lamar, the project features guest appearances from Larry June, Ab-Soul, Tyga and OHMA.
Lamar’s contribution to “So Good” continues a musical relationship with Aiko that began early in both artists’ careers. Their documented connection reaches back to Lamar’s 2010 mixtape “Overly Dedicated.”
The two artists also worked together on “Stay Ready,” a 2013 song that appeared on Aiko’s extended play “Sail Out.” Their shared credits have continued into more recent releases.
Both Aiko and Lamar also appeared on “Backd00rs,” a track by Playboi Carti. That song provided another point of overlap between the two musicians before the release of “So Good.”
The new collaboration arrives within the broader context of Aiko’s return to a full album format. The six-year interval since “Chilombo” separates “Westside Whimsy” from her previous studio project.
By placing “So Good” among a 20-song track list, the album gives Lamar’s appearance a specific role within a larger collection that includes several other collaborators. Pitchfork’s reporting confirmed the guest feature and the release details.
No additional recording history or comments from the artists about the creation of “So Good” were included in the verified information available to Kulture Newz. The collaboration is documented through the released track and its place on “Westside Whimsy.”
The album is available through Def Jam and ArtClub. “So Good” adds another entry to Aiko and Lamar’s shared musical history, extending a connection that now spans work from 2010 through 2026.
