Katie Zacharia has concluded an unusually brief tenure as White House press secretary after just five days on the job, according to reporting published by Hollywood Unlocked. Following her swift exit, Zacharia publicly expressed gratitude to Donald Trump on social media, calling her time in the administration and visits to the Oval Office an unforgettable honor.

Zacharia's entry into the high-profile administration role began on Friday, October 9, when the Trump administration publicly announced her appointment. Before stepping into the White House briefing room, Zacharia held credentials as a graduate of the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and worked as a senior communications adviser for Truth Social, Hollywood Unlocked reported.

Her official tenure as press secretary began on Monday, October 12. The following day, Tuesday, October 13, Zacharia stepped to the podium to conduct her first official White House press briefing. That introductory press appearance lasted approximately 14 minutes and included answers to only three questions from reporters in the room. Hollywood Unlocked reported that Zacharia's performance during the briefing drew widespread, intense scrutiny across news media outlets, with critics focusing on the briefing's brevity and her delivery at the podium.

The administrative pressure intensified the next day. By Wednesday, October 14, news reports surfaced indicating that Zacharia had never passed the bar exam to become a licensed attorney. Zacharia attempted to address the surrounding public reaction during a television appearance on Fox News on Thursday, October 15, but that broadcast appearance prompted further external criticism regarding her qualifications and messaging, Hollywood Unlocked noted.

By Friday afternoon, October 16, Zacharia was formally ousted from her position as White House press secretary, capping off a five-day run that began the preceding Monday. Despite the swift removal, Zacharia took to social media on Friday to share a photograph featuring herself alongside Trump inside the Oval Office.

In her social media caption accompanying the photograph, Zacharia offered glowing remarks about the former president. "President Trump is a kind, wonderful, gracious, thoughtful, enthusiastic, and the most hardworking man," Zacharia wrote in the post cited by Hollywood Unlocked. "I wish more Americans appreciated him. No one will ever make America great the way he has and continues to. It was an honor to work for him."

Zacharia followed up with an additional statement on Saturday, October 17, offering further appreciation for Trump's hospitality toward her family members. "Thank you, President Trump, for hosting my family and me in the Oval Office and for the generous gifts you gave my children on my son’s birthday," she wrote on social media. "It was an unforgettable honor."
