Kadeem Hardison and Darryl M. Bell Team Up for 'A Different World View' Rewatch Podcast

Actors Kadeem Hardison and Darryl M. Bell are reuniting behind the microphone to host a brand-new rewatch podcast centered on their iconic sitcom, according to reporting by theGrio. The upcoming show, titled "A Different World View," was announced by iHeartMedia and Charlamagne Tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network. Set to premiere on Oct. 15, the project will release weekly episodes on Thursdays across the iHeartRadio app and all major audio streaming platforms.

The weekly audio project brings together the two actors who portrayed beloved characters Dwayne Wayne and Ron Johnson on the original series, which first brought the culture and vibrant atmosphere of a fictional Historically Black College and University to prime-time television. Beyond looking back at the classic show, the podcast will serve as a platform for Hardison and Bell to share their nearly 40-year friendship. According to the announcement reported by theGrio, conversations on the show will span pop culture, entertainment, sports, and current interests before turning back to memories of Hillman College.

Throughout the series, the hosts plan to rewatch "A Different World" episode by episode while offering listeners exclusive behind-the-scenes stories and discussing why the groundbreaking sitcom continues to resonate almost four decades after its original debut. The podcast will also feature appearances from familiar original cast members and guest stars who helped define the classic television program.

In addition to reflecting on the original series, Hardison and Bell will highlight the recent 2026 Netflix sequel series. According to the report from theGrio, both actors reprised their original roles in the reboot, which made its debut last month and has already secured a second season renewal. The podcast will feature conversations involving members from both the original cast and the new generation of actors appearing in the sequel series. Renowned director and actress Debbie Allen has been announced as the podcast's first official special guest.

"I am beyond excited to finally launch the ‘A Different World View with Darryl and Kadeem’ podcast," Bell said in a statement released with the announcement. "Kadeem and I have only wanted to do this for over 25 years, and the time is now! I also could not be happier or think of better partners than Charlamagne Tha God, his team at The Black Effect and iHeartMedia." Hardison shared similar enthusiasm regarding their long-standing bond, adding, "I’ve been talking to this guy for 40 years. I’m so glad you all get to see what I’ve been dealing with. ‘A Different World View’ coming shortly!"
