New Orleans hip-hop pioneer Juvenile has officially called off his scheduled Minneapolis performance at First Avenue following a string of delays that stretched across several months, according to reporting by AllHipHop.

Ticket holders who planned to attend the October 21 concert will receive refunds rather than another makeup date, as venue notices confirmed that no replacement show has been scheduled at this time. According to First Avenue's ticketing policy reported by AllHipHop, patrons who purchased tickets online or over the phone through AXS will receive automatic refunds to the original payment card within a window of up to 30 business days. The venue noted that customers who purchased entry through third-party sellers must seek refunds directly from those respective vendors, directing patrons needing assistance to AXS support services.

Local outlet Bring Me The News first highlighted that the Minneapolis concert had already experienced extensive calendar shifts prior to the complete cancellation. The event was initially booked for July 14 before venue listings moved the engagement to August 9, and eventually pushed the date to October 21. First Avenue's official artist page previously marked both summer dates as postponed, extending the waiting period for local concertgoers across more than three months before organizers ultimately pulled the plug just days before showtime.

Neither Juvenile nor his management team provided an immediate public statement explaining the decision to cancel the concert, and representatives did not respond to requests for comment prior to publication, AllHipHop reported. Although historical advisory text advising fans to hold onto original tickets remained visible on the venue's web listing, updated advisory notices placed at the top of the page confirmed the final cancellation and clarified refund protocols.

The canceled Minneapolis engagement was promoted as part of the Boiling Point Album Release Tour, featuring The 400 Degreez Band & Friends and presented in partnership with Carbon Sound. The tour supported Juvenile's recent studio album release from earlier this year and was slated to mark his return to the First Avenue stage, where he previously headlined with producer Mannie Fresh in October 2024 during the Back That Azz Up 25th Anniversary Tour.

Juvenile's live-band format has become a hallmark of his recent career resurgence, notably demonstrated during his widely acclaimed 2023 NPR Tiny Desk Concert recorded in Washington, D.C. That celebrated session came together after sustained fan encouragement and featured a collaborative ensemble that included Mannie Fresh, multi-instrumentalist Jon Batiste, Trombone Shorty, and strings from the Louisiana Philharmonic.

Despite the cancellation in Minnesota, the remainder of Juvenile's performance schedule appears to remain active. According to tour listings reported by AllHipHop, the itinerary continues with an October 22 stop at the Bourbon Theatre in Lincoln, Nebraska, followed immediately by scheduled tour dates in St. Louis on October 23 and Memphis on October 24, leaving Minneapolis off the tour's revised path.
