JENNIE Joins The Weeknd in South Korea for First-Ever Live Performance of 'One of the Girls'
BLACKPINK member JENNIE surprised concertgoers in South Korea by joining The Weeknd on stage for the first live performance of their 2023 collaboration 'One of the Girls.' The surprise appearance took place during the final Asia leg of The Weeknd's record-breaking After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour.

During the final Asia leg of his sprawling After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour, global R&B and pop superstar The Weeknd surprised fans at Goyang Stadium in South Korea by bringing BLACKPINK member JENNIE onto the stage. According to reporting by Billboard, the unannounced guest appearance took place on Thursday, Oct. 8, marking the very first time the two artists have ever performed their hit 2023 collaboration "One of the Girls" live together on stage. Co-star Lily-Rose Depp, who is also officially credited on the track, was not present for the duet.
The collaborative single was originally released in 2023 as part of the soundtrack for HBO's drama series The Idol, appearing on The Idol Episode 4 (Music From the HBO Original Series). Billboard reported that although the song was introduced through the television project, it swiftly built a legacy beyond the show itself. The track eventually joined Spotify's prestigious Billions Club, adding to The Weeknd's record-setting total of songs with at least one billion streams on the streaming platform. The song also climbed to a peak of No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The unexpected stage reunion highlighted the two-night Goyang engagement on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8, marking The Weeknd's long-awaited return to perform in South Korea for the first time since 2018. Billboard reported that the two concert dates brought in an estimated total of 108,000 attendees across both evenings. The concert run is part of the final stretch of his global stadium circuit across Asia.
The After Hours Til Dawn tour serves as a live showcase for a trio of major releases from The Weeknd: his 2020 album After Hours, his 2022 album Dawn FM, and his 2025 album Hurry Up Tomorrow. According to Billboard, all three records opened in either the first or second spot on the Billboard 200 chart following their releases. The tour has generated tremendous financial results, with Billboard Boxscore reporting that the production grossed $124.4 million and sold 892,000 tickets across 16 dates in July alone.
JENNIE's appearance comes during a highly active period in her solo career following her work on The Idol. According to Billboard, the singer released her debut solo album Ruby in March 2025, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 to mark her highest-charting solo album to date. She continued her solo output with the Fallen Angel EP in August 2026 and featured on a high-charting remix of Tame Impala's "Dracula," which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.
