The HBCU Legacy Bowl is officially heading to Atlanta in 2027 — and the move signals just how big the premier HBCU pro showcase has become.
Launched by Pro Football Hall of Famer Doug Williams, the Legacy Bowl has quickly grown into one of the most important events on the HBCU sports calendar, giving draft-eligible HBCU athletes a national stage in front of every NFL franchise. Moving to Atlanta — already the cultural capital of Black America — brings the game in front of an even larger audience of fans, brands, and decision-makers.
For the city, it means a week of HBCU-led events: combine workouts, panels, concerts, alumni mixers, and brand activations spread across Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the surrounding district.
