In the forthcoming project, scheduled for release around Thanksgiving, Steinfeld provides the voice for Billie Doe, a character described as a rebellious and unconventional teenager who uncovers her innate magical abilities as a witch. During her appearance on the program, Steinfeld expressed her enthusiasm for joining an original Disney animated production, calling the opportunity a dream come true.
Steinfeld shared that her work on 'Hexed' spanned a significant personal transition. The actor explained to Fallon that production began while she was pregnant and concluded following the birth of her daughter, Harper Haize, in April. Steinfeld married Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen roughly a year before welcoming their child. Reflecting on the timing, Steinfeld characterized the period during recording as a transformative milestone in her personal life. She noted that the film delivers a coming-of-age narrative centered on self-discovery and learning to harness inner power for positive ends.
In addition to discussing her voice work for Disney, Steinfeld reflected on her involvement in director Ryan Coogler’s 2025 vampire feature 'Sinners.' When Fallon questioned whether she would reprise her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the upcoming title 'Avengers: Doomsday,' Steinfeld maintained discretion, stating that time will tell.
