Atlanta Falcons undrafted rookie cornerback Malcolm DeWalt IV made the team's roster over eight players with more NFL experience, capping a six-year journey that began when he quit football in college and moved home, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
DeWalt was playing NBA 2K27 to pass the time on cutdown day when general manager Ian Cunningham called with the news. "It was probably one of the best moments in my life," DeWalt said.
The Akron product's path included a period away from the sport entirely before he returned to pursue his NFL dream.
