Florida rapper Doechii has returned with another installment of her ongoing creative series, releasing a high-octane video for "CATWOMAN," according to reporting by Billboard. The visual, debuted on Tuesday (Oct. 20), marks the newest entry in her Swamp Sessions showcase, following closely on the heels of the previous week's release, "BOMBS."

Throughout the video, Doechii leans heavily into dramatic visual storytelling set against an arid desert backdrop. According to Billboard, the rapper navigates the sandy terrain dressed in baggy washed denim jeans, a visible Tap Out waistband, and a simple white sports bra. The narrative takes an explosive turn when Doechii’s "Swamp Princess" persona is blown to pieces by an alternate, Catwoman-themed version of herself wielding a bazooka. Following the detonation, Doechii reemerges sporting an Afro hairstyle, tailored black denim, high heels, and matching sunglasses.

Lyrically, the offering revisits the title of her 2024 track while serving as a vehicle for rapid-fire bars and historical hip-hop references. As reported by Billboard, Doechii pays homage to rap veteran Busta Rhymes by incorporating his classic "woo-hah" ad-lib into her cadence. Her verses further incorporate cultural touchpoints, referencing actor Sean Connery and his iconic film tenure as James Bond, while emphasizing that she channels the fierce determination and energy of 2Pac.

Billboard highlighted Doechii’s sharp wordplay within the performance, quoting her lyrics: “B—h, I get around, I got a little bit of ‘Pac in me/ Bottega miniskirt got a pocket for the pocket piece/ You can’t stop me, fire stick like a Taki/ B—h pulled up in a lemon, she need some Tajín/ Doechii had a little lamb, it was black and white.”

The striking drop arrives as attention intensifies around the Grammy-winning Top Dawg Entertainment artist ahead of her anticipated debut studio album. Billboard reported that Doechii previously shared candid journal reflections detailing her creative process and intentions for the project. In the entry, Doechii expressed a deep devotion to the craft and history of the genre: “I spent the last few years relearning Hip-Hop as a student. Studying its language, history & roots. Now I feel inspired to contribute to evolve it,” she wrote, adding that “A mission is brewing inside of me (a responsibility really) to see black womanhood exist at the center of Hip-Hop AND Pop.”

This visual continuation also builds upon a notable period of mainstream crossover success for the 28-year-old artist. Earlier this year, Doechii collaborated with pop superstar Lady Gaga on the track “Runway,” which was featured on the soundtrack for “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” According to Billboard, that appearance secured another placement on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it peaked at No. 50.
