Colorado receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. used his NIL earnings to launch "Jive Turkey," a turkey-themed food truck run with his twin sister and mother. He's also planning a Tesla rental fleet as part of a broader entrepreneurial strategy.
Colorado Buffaloes receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. is putting his name, image and likeness money into business ventures rather than luxury purchases, according to the Associated Press via Fox Sports. Moore used NIL funds to launch "Jive Turkey," a food truck featuring turkey-based dishes.
"I'm an entrepreneur," said Moore, who transferred to Colorado from Texas. "I'd much rather spend (money) on something that can give me a return, instead of jewelry, clothes and all that."
Moore's twin sister Denae handles the business's finances while their mother Taleea helps develop the menu. The family plans to relocate the truck from Austin to Boulder and eventually open a full restaurant.
