DDG and PlaqueBoyMax have both received nominations for the Best Music Streamer category at the 2026 Streamer Awards, according to reporting by AllHipHop. The recognition places two prominent digital personalities who regularly create and share music before live internet audiences into direct competition. The category highlights the intersection of streaming culture and music production, spotlighting creators who invite supporters into their creative spaces in real time.

As reported by AllHipHop, the complete ballot for the music category features a four-person race. Alongside DDG and PlaqueBoyMax, the nominees include fellow online creators Bishu and AriAtHome. Organizers for the ceremony established the award to spotlight any streamer who consistently produces outstanding musical content, emphasizing abilities that range from singing, songwriting, and producing to playing instruments, composing, or DJing during broadcasts.

Voting for the awards opened to the general public on October 16 and will officially close on October 31, according to AllHipHop. The final winners will be revealed during the live ceremony set for November 12. Public participation plays a substantial role in deciding the outcome, with community votes determining 70 percent of the final score. The remaining 30 percent will be determined by an official panel. Event organizer QTCinderella explained that this year marks the first time creators could submit themselves for consideration, with fan favorites selecting the primary candidates before the panel added a final nominee to round out the field.

Both DDG and PlaqueBoyMax have built strong reputations by opening their studio recording sessions to broadcast viewers. DDG secured his nomination on the heels of his project titled "HIT-A-THON," which AllHipHop reported was recorded during a non-stop, seven-day broadcast in Atlanta before its official distribution through Epic Records. The finished 15-track album featured prominent guest contributions from Lil Yachty, 42 Dugg, and Real Boston Richey, giving viewers an unvarnished look at how the collaborations were tracked and finalized.

That effort followed an earlier 2025 stream in which DDG allowed viewers to give direct feedback on song selections, lyrics, and instrumental beats. In a 2025 interview with Billboard cited by AllHipHop, DDG explained that streaming his studio work allowed audiences to feel genuinely invested in the creative journey while watching him connect with collaborators like Shaboozey, Kevin Gates, and Ty Dolla $ign.

PlaqueBoyMax has similarly integrated his audience into his production workflow. As detailed in a June profile by Boardroom that was referenced by AllHipHop, his live viewers frequently participate in track development, including helping him choose official song titles during studio broadcasts. His musical work has also reached mainstream institutional recognition. His collaboration titled "Victory Lap," recorded with Skepta and Fred again.., earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Recording, where the Recording Academy officially credited PlaqueBoyMax as both a featured artist and a producer on the release.
