Chase Infiniti Set to Star in Lionsgate Horror Feature 'Portrait of God' Produced by Jordan Peele and Sam Raimi
Actor Chase Infiniti has been cast in the upcoming Lionsgate horror film 'Portrait of God,' directed by Dylan Clark. The project marks the first producer collaboration between Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw Productions and Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures.

Chase Infiniti, the breakout actor who recently starred in the Oscar-winning feature One Battle After Another, has secured her next starring role in the upcoming horror film Portrait of God, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter. The feature will be produced by acclaimed horror figures Sam Raimi and Jordan Peele, marking the very first time the two high-profile filmmakers are teaming up on a production.
The upcoming project will be directed by emerging filmmaker Dylan Clark, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Russo, according to reporting by The Hollywood Reporter. Specific storyline details have not been publicly revealed, but industry sources described the project as a novel take on the religious horror subgenre. The feature-length movie builds upon Clark's self-released 2022 short film of the same name, which accumulated millions of views online and drew broad attention across the film industry.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Portrait of God was previously set up at Universal Pictures. After Universal allowed the project to lapse earlier this year, Lionsgate stepped in to pick up the rights and move the title into official greenlight status. Lionsgate studio executive Adam Fogelson released a statement highlighting the talent assembled, calling Clark one of the most exciting emerging voices in horror while commending the leadership of producers Raimi and Peele and the addition of Infiniti as lead actor.
The role represents Infiniti's first major casting announcement following her feature film debut in Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another, which captured six Academy Awards, according to details provided by The Hollywood Reporter. Additionally, Infiniti completed another project titled The Julia Set prior to her breakout role. That film recently made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival and is currently looking for a distributor.
In statements shared by The Hollywood Reporter, Clark expressed strong enthusiasm for collaborating with Infiniti, noting her exceptional work in One Battle After Another. Clark's relationship with Lionsgate extends beyond this project, as he is also slated to direct a new reboot of The Blair Witch Project for Lionsgate in partnership with Blumhouse and Atomic Monster. His career growth follows a broader trend of studios recruiting young horror talent discovered through viral short films, similar to recent summer projects like Curry Barker's Obsession and Kane Parsons's Backrooms.
The producing team behind Portrait of God includes Rob Tapert for Ghost House Pictures, Win Rosenfeld for Monkeypaw Productions, and co-writer Joe Russo, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Executive oversight for Ghost House Pictures will be handled by Romel Adam and Jose Cañas, while Chris Rosati will executive produce via his NAT20 Films banner under a first-look agreement with Monkeypaw. Lionsgate executive Scott O'Brien is set to oversee the production process for the studio, following deal negotiations conducted by Dan Freedman and project sourcing by Brandon Hill.
