Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams Carted Off After Non-Contact Hamstring Injury
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was carted to the locker room after a non-contact right hamstring injury. Further evaluation will determine the severity.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams left Sunday’s 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings after suffering a non-contact injury to his right hamstring in the fourth quarter.
Williams went down while scrambling with about seven and a half minutes remaining at Soldier Field. He was helped from the field before being taken to the locker room on a cart.
The Bears identified the injury as a right hamstring issue. Head coach Ben Johnson said Williams was expected to undergo imaging Monday, meaning the severity and any recovery timetable were not yet known.
Williams completed 15 of 28 passes for 165 yards before leaving the game. Chicago did not score a touchdown in the loss.
Until the medical evaluation is complete, any estimate of how long Williams could be sidelined would be premature.
