Alcorn State survived a double-overtime thriller against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, winning the 37th Southern Heritage Classic 53-51 in Memphis, according to HBCU Buzz. The game produced 104 combined points.

The victory improved Alcorn State to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in SWAC West play, while Arkansas-Pine Bluff fell to 1-2. The win moved Alcorn into a first-place tie with Prairie View A&M.
